Alpha

WHO?
WHAT?
HOW, WHY?
Where do you stand on the big questions of life? Everyone has questions – big questions, real questions – about life, injustice, suffering, the future, death, other faiths.
Alpha is all about asking questions, delving into these issues, and finding answers.
What is Alpha?
The Alpha course is an opportunity for everyone to explore the Christian faith.
It’s relaxed, low key, friendly and lots of fun.
Each session begins at 7.30pm with a meal together, which gives you an opportunity to get to know each other.
Listen, learn, discuss and discover. And ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple, too big or too hostile.
And it’s supported by all the main Christian denominations.
What’s involved?
Alpha runs three times a year, here at KCC, and each course begins with the Launch Supper followed by the presentation “Is there more to life than this?” Over the subsequent eight weeks, the Alpha course consists of a series of talks on Thursday evenings looking at topics such as “Who is Jesus?” and “Why and how do I pray?” After each talk we divide into small groups for a time of discussion.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha really is for anyone, especially:
What will it cost?
In this case, there is such a thing as a free dinner. There is no charge for the Alpha course.
What next?
The next Alpha course launches on Thursday January 14th at 7.30pm. If you would like to come, or would like more details about the evening, or the Alpha course as a whole, please contact Simon Thomas at the church office.
KCC also run the youthalpha course, designed in the same way but aimed for those at secondary school, Year 7-11. The next course too kicks off on January 14 th, check out more information here.
